Mike's Blog

Brothers and Keepers | Sep 20th 2006

This book was very intense to me. The way he tells the story makes me think of something out of an action scene in a movie. It makes you actually imagine being there and seeing the bullets fly and the money scattering. You almost forget that this is a true story it just seems like something a writer would put into a movie. In the beginning it’s a little slow and it doesn’t seem like it’s going to be a good read. Once you get into the middle of the story though it becomes much more interesting. They vividness of everything he says really holds on to your attention and makes you want to read more.

  1. Mike, I’d like some more specifics here. What exactly gets told so vividly? And how does he achieve that in his writing? What were other parts of the excerpt that stood out to you?
