This book was very intense to me. The way he tells the story makes me think of something out of an action scene in a movie. It makes you actually imagine being there and seeing the bullets fly and the money scattering. You almost forget that this is a true story it just seems like something a writer would put into a movie. In the beginning it’s a little slow and it doesn’t seem like it’s going to be a good read. Once you get into the middle of the story though it becomes much more interesting. They vividness of everything he says really holds on to your attention and makes you want to read more.
Roosevelt schools have run up a budget deficit exceeding $5 million, state officials acknowledge, even though the district is the only one in the state in which spending is legally controlled by Albany.
Alerted to the budget gap just before the weekend, state officials told Newsday yesterday that they had immediately ordered Roosevelt administrators to come up with a recovery plan. Meanwhile, state officials say they are checking for ways the district can draw on extra state and federal financial aid in order to avoid cuts in student services.
Roosevelt schools in the red
This article hit home for me because it’s about where I’m from. Roosevelt schools are in danger of budget cuts because of there ridiculous spending. They rode up a bill of 5 million dollars. I find this unfair to the rest of Long Island. Many schools on Long Island have experienced budget cuts and Roosevelt has always been able to spend. Schools like Brentwood and Smithtown have had sports and art cuts. I don’t appreciate this because they think that those are unimportant to kids. For me if it wasen’t for sports and art i don’t know where i’d be. Soccer got me money to come to school where I’m studying to be a Graphic Designer. I’m glad Roosevelt hasen’t had to go through this but it’s infair that they had to exceed by this much before being rep-remanded.
A team which have no quality will not yield results, as simple as that.
This is what Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said after his side was held to a 1-1 draw against Middlesbrough at their home ground for the second successive time.
“Very frustrating, at the moment you can see problems in the fact we were 1-0 down when it looked easy to keep a clean-sheet because Middlesbrough was all about defending and in the end we dropped two points against a team who had one shot on goal.”
“We couldn’t finish them off and we didn’t use the pitch well and we lacked sharpness in the final third and their keeper did the rest.”
“I am concerned because we have dropped points, not for the quality. I feel we have as much quality as ever but at the moment we cannot take the points and that is disturbing for the players as well.”
“We have massive potential in this team but at the moment we don’t get the points we deserve – we should have nine points but we have two and we are not happy with that, but that doesn’t mean this team doesn’t have this quality.”
Well, Arsene Wenger should have just admitted that his side is too awful with no quality to compete in the EPL.
When you lose points, it means that the side is simply lousy. Furthermore, getting a miserable 2 points out of 9 for 3 games is simply pathetic.
The team having potential is one thing, achieving results is another. No such thing as who deserves this points and who does not.
A team which has potential and quality, and also which work their socks out will yields results, as simple as that.
Maybe what Arsene Wenger meant was that, Arsenal have the potential to produce atrocious performance each time they play?
A team which have no quality will not yield results, as simple as that.
This article is just a disgruntled soccer fan not getting his way. He talks down the Arsenal Football organization and coach Wenger. First of all team Arsenal is one of the stronger clubs in the European premiere league. Second off Coach Wenger is an amazing coach and will lead his team to a successful season. Arsenal is a team of refined players that have been trained since childhood. Kids join the Arsenal football organization in hopes of one day becoming a member of the team. To even be on Arsenal’s reserve team would be an honor in itself. A comment like this is ridiculous and shows that this person has not done their research before opening there mouth. Arsenal has never been considered an unorganized team and never will. Right in this person’s quote coach Wenger describes every aspect of Arsenal’s game against Middlesbourgh that led them to the 1-1 tie. They know where they go wrong an work to fix it. One game proves nothing. A season is what proves a lot. A team with a successful season that can make it to the championship league has the right to say they are good. A team like Arsenal has proved themselves time after time. If Arsenal isn’t being considered a good team in the EPL then Real Madrid and Barcelona will have no competition.
BERLIN (AP) — FIFA wants to reunite Zinedine Zidane and Marco Materazzi so they can put the head-butting incident from the World Cup final behind them.
“We are definitely working on that,” FIFA president Sepp Blatter said Monday ahead of a two-day conference to assess the World Cup in Germany.
One suggestion was for them to meet at Robben Island in South Africa, where former President Nelson Mandela and other anti-apartheid leaders were once imprisoned, Blatter said.
“We are working on bringing together Zidane and Materazzi and to bring to end this story,” Blatter said.
This article took me by surprise. Zidane’s headbutt was a provoked action and was wrong on both men’s parts. They acted immature adn childish. Zidane is a respectable soccer player and to do this riht before his retirement was horrible. I did not think the two men would make up after Materazzi spoke of Zidane’s sister and Zidane brutally headbutted Materazzi.
I wasen’t in class. I’m making up the blogs I missed.
